H.R. 1835: Legislation for Natural Gas Transportation

H.R. 1835: Legislation for Natural Gas Transportation is a bill currently pending in the House of Representatives for the utilization of domestic natural gas, especially in semi trucks and other large vehicles that would not be practical to try to run on a battery.  There is a corresponding bill in the Senate.  (S. 1408).  They are bills creating legislation to codify what has become known as the "Pickens Plan."

A friend of mine recently wrote, "I am a big supporter of the Pickens Plan.  After much thought, I have not found a down side to it in comparison with the other alternatives."  He encouraged me, and I encourage all of you, to learn more about it (http://www.pickensplan.com/theplan) and to sign the petition asking President Obama and Congress to act now to make passing it one of their priorites (http://www.pickensplan.com/petition).
